8am: Digging the Ramps
Join the Ramp Trampers as they take an all day hike up into the Appalachia Mountains to gather ramps for our annual festival. The caravan of ramp trampers will meet at the Polk County Courthouse in Benton, TN at 8am and will return by 4pm.
Bring you own digging tools, and a jacket the mountain is slightly colder.
Lunch will be provided.

Friday April 21
Preparing the Ramps & Live Music
After digging the ramps volunteers are needed to clean them in preperation for the festival meal. From 10am-3pm volunteers will enjoy fun and fellowship while the ramps are cleaned and the cornbread is prepared.
7pm: the festival kicks off with the Bluegrass and Beans night. Enjoy the Bluegrass and Gospel music while you consume a bowl of white beans, cornbread, and raw ramps.
Saturday April 22
Admission is FREE.
10am-2pm: Ramp Meal – Fried ramps in eggs, fried potatoes, streaked meat, white beans and cornbread with drink. Spend the day enjoying Bluegrass & Gospel music and old-time fellowship while enjoying a meal of fried ramps in eggs, fried potatoes, streaked meat, white beans and cornbread. Local craftsman have handmade articles for sale. Also the famous “Ramp” hot dogs will be available.
10am: Polk County Ramp Festival OPENS with Flag Raising Ceremony
10:15am: Bring out those buck dancing & clogging shoes for Bluegrass Music from Ben Callihan & The Misfits!
12noon: Welcome by Polk County Executive, Awards for oldest, youngest, largest family and the one traveling the farthest to attend. Door Prizes throughout the day!
1pm: More Bluegrass Music!
